न असतः विद्यते भावः न अभावः विद्यते सतः
उभयो: अपि दृष्ट: अन्त: तु अनयो: तत्व दर्शिभिः

नासतो विद्यते भावो नाभावो विद्यते सतः ।
उभयोरपि दृष्टोऽन्तस्त्वनयोस्तत्त्वदर्शिभिः ॥२:१६॥

naasato vidhyate bhaavo naabhaavo vidhyate satah
ubhayorapi drishto'ntastvanayostatvadarshibhih ||2:16||

na asatah vidhyatebhaavah na abhaavah vidhyate satah
ubhayoh api drishtah antah tu anayoh tatwa darshibhih

Purport Neither there is an existence without the real/eternal nor there is the real/eternal without the existence. These two facts or principles are concluded by the seers after observation of the two (reality/eternity and existence).

न (na) -- no; not
असतः (asatah) -- unreal; non-eternal
विद्यते (vidhyate) -- there is
भावः (bhaavah) -- existence

अभावः (abhaavah) -- non-existence
विद्यते (vidhyate) -- there is
