तत्र सत्त्वम् निर्मलत्वात् प्रकाशकम् अनामयम्
सुख सङ्गेन बध्नाति ज्ञान सङ्गेन च अनघ
तत्र सत्त्वं निर्मलत्वात्प्रकाशकमनामयम् ।
सुखसङ्गेन बध्नाति ज्ञानसङ्गेन चानघ ॥१४:६॥
tatra sattwam nirmalatwaatprakaashakamanaamayam
sukhasangena badhnaati gnyaanasangena chaanagha ||14:6||
tatra sattwam nirmalatwaat prakaashakam anaamayam
sukha sangena badhnaati gnyaana sangena cha aanagha
Purport There, Sattwa (characteristic of truth), from its purity, being illuminating and well-being, O sinless (O Arjun), binds in association with happiness and in association with the knowledge.
सत्त्वम् (sattwam) -- truth; goodness; reality, eternity
निर्मलत्वात् (nirmalatwaat) -- from purity or cleanliness
प्रकाशकम् (prakaashakam) -- illuminating; disclosing
अनामयम् (anaamayam) -- health; well-being
सङ्गेन (sangena) -- with/by contact, attachment or association
बध्नाति (badhnaati) -- binds; fasten
ज्ञान (gnyaana) -- knowledge
